  • Dr. Mei Weiping

    Dr. Mei Weiping, born in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, received his doctorate degree in biophysics at German Hannover University in 1991.

    From 1995, he had worked in Beiersdorf Group in German and served as director of lab for organism ultraweak photon emission and lab for organism photo-electricity successively in the research center of Beiersdorf. From 2007, he has been in charge of R&D of China business for Beiersdorf, acting concurrently as doctorial tutor.

    Currently, he serves as chairman of the Chinese Culture Association in Hamburg, vice chairman of Hamburg Sino-German Association, director of Hamburg Overseas Chinese Federation, chairman of Association of Chinese Physicists in Germany. Dr. Mei is one of the successful Chinese scientists in the field of cosmetics, and is also the overseas observer-representative of the CPPCC national committee.

  • Dr. Sun Peiwen

    Dr. Sun Peiwen has strong education background in both science and business (pharmacology PhD and marketing MBA from Purdue University, USA).

    He has built a successful career of more than 10 years at P&G, working across functions and regions, delivering outstanding business results and building innovation capabilities. A senior R&D Manager at P&G Kobe Technical Center, Dr. Sun has outstanding strategic, consumer, product and market insights and experience. He has a successful track record in multiple fronts including product design, consumer proposition development, regulatory and external relations and building a start-up research and development organization. He is the R&D leader behind the rapid growth of Oil of Olay that has today become top brand in China.

    He has successfully built a new R&D organization from scratch for P&G Beauty Care in Beijing, hiring and developing local talents.  Also built capabilities in franchise management, formulation, clinical testing and external connections with government and Universities. 

     

     

  • Dr. Yang Jianzhong

    Dr. Yang Jianzhong has double post-doctoral degrees from the Chemistry Departments of University of Arizona and Virginia State University. He majored in polymer chemistry at both institutions.

    In 1994, Dr. Yang joined Procter & Gamble. He served as the chief scientist for P&G Hair Care Research Centre from Dec. 2002 to Mar. 2009. He is now the President of the Beauty & Health Innovation (Kobe) Co. Ltd.

    He is also a visiting professor at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Jiangnan University and Beijing Technology and Business University. Dr. Yang also serves as the special technical consultant for China Cosmetics Review.

    Dr. Yang is known worldwide as an expert in hair wash and conditioning technology, hair style products and the related researches. He has published 50 papers and applied for more than 100 patents so far. His papers have received various awards, including two awarded by China Cosmetics Academic Workshop in 2006 and 2008 for emerging the top amongst other notable papers. He also came in second amongst other papers at the China Cosmetics Academic Workshop in 2004.

  • Prof. Li Huiliang

    Prof. Li Huiliang holds numerous positions, including Senior Engineer, Senior Research Scientist at the Technology Center of Shanghai Jahwa United Co., Ltd.; and a member of the standing committee of Shanghai Association of Traditional Chinese Medicines under Chinese Medical Association.

    He was one of the earliest specialists that went to Japan to study modern R&D and production management of cosmetics. With over twenty years’ experience in cosmetic research and development, Prof. Li has engaged in the study of Chinese beauty culture and Chinese herbal cosmetics formulation. He was the first in China to apply Chinese herbal medicine technologies to modern R&D of cosmetic products. Prof. Li was the creator of the Liushen toilet water and the Maxam hand cream, which were the first segmented cosmetic product in China. He is committed to the research and development of Herborist cosmetics and is recognized as one of the most influential experts in the field of cosmetics R&D in China.

  • Dr. Xu Liang

    Dr. Xu Liang, a professor-level Senior Engineer and the head of Beijing Daily Chemical Research Institute, has been engaged in cosmetics technical research and R&D management for more than 20 years.

    His current positions include: member of Cosmetics Health Standardization Committee under the Ministry of Health, member of Cosmetics Standard Expert Committee under the State Food and Drug Administration, member of SAC/TC 257, expert of cosmetics review for State Food and Drug Administration, Editorial Board Member for Chinese Cosmetics, and member of Technical Committee of Cosmetic and Toiletries (Chinese edition). He has also participated in the preparation and review of many regulations and standards for Chinese cosmetics industry.

    He has published more than 60 papers and two books, and has won the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award amongst other prizes
