• Technology Conference

  The “Technology Conference” in PCHi usually has three sub themes: New Technology & Innovations and the two others which are different every year. For PCHi2011, the two new themes are “The Macho Side of Personal Care” and “Earth-Friendly Formulations”.

• The Macho Side of Personal Care

  Today, it’s not only women who care about their skin and hair. Men worldwide are starting to place a much greater emphasis on taking care of their bodies’ appearance, texture, and even smell! As a result, competition is heating up in the male personal care product segment. However, how different are these products compared to the female/kids’ versions? What are the key differences in formulations and technologies behind the manufacturing of mens’ cosmetics, and how significant are these differences?

• Earth-Friendly Formulations

  One of ‘hot’ topics in recent years is companies’ efforts to Go Green. Governments of nations worldwide have place targeted efforts in protecting our homeland - the earth. And as a chemical industry, the personal care and homecare sector will have to face the Green issue very seriously, very soon.  This conference will explore manufacturing techniques, formulas and technologies, and even packaging materials that will help companies develop truly Green products that will be well accepted by increasingly earth-conscious consumer.

• Regulatory Summits

  This summit provides updates on regulatory affairs that are crucial to conducting business in China. PCHi organizers have invited representatives from various governing bodies such as China’s Ministry of Health, Guangdong Food & Drug Administration, China Cosmetics Quality Assurance Committee, International Cosmetics (Asia Pacific) Joint Development Centre, and GuangdongCosmeticsStandards & TestingCenter to speak on regulatory issues concerning the cosmetics industry.

• Formulators' Workshop

  PCHi organizers will be launching a series of workshops for formulators next month in Guangzhou, China. In order to cater sufficient time for industry professionals to understand the multi-faceted aspects of formulating and technical know-how, this program consists of three workshops, each lasting two hours. We want to ensure that the technical experts can spend quality time with each participant so the number of visitors attending each workshop will be limited.

• Marketing Trends

  This conference focuses on marketing trends, challenges and opportunities for the personal care and homecare industry in China and Asia Pacific. Hosted by leading consulting firms, research institutes and universities, this program is a key highlight for marketers, brand owners and ingredient suppliers.

• New Technology Feature Area & New Technology Sessions

  The New Technology Feature Area is a specially demarcated zone that showcases the most innovative products and technologies of exhibiting companies. Exhibitors who wish to have their products featured can submit their applications to the PCHi organizing committee. All submissions will be vetted by an independent panel of Industry experts. This panel is chaired by the publisher of China Cosmetic Review. Five entries will be shortlisted and the best submission presented with the PCHi Best New Technology Award.

  The New Technology Sessions are a series of full-day presentations for PCHi exhibitors to introduce their newest products and technologies to PCHi’s industry professionals. These sessions provide an ideal opportunity for exhibiting companies to highlight their leadership position in the field of technologies.

  Attendance for visitors is complimentary and no pre-registration is required. The five shortlisted submissions/exhibiting companies will be given a complimentary one-hour presentation slot during the New Technology Sessions. Other exhibitors who wish to deliver presentations during the New Technology Sessions may do so by booking a slot at RMB 7,500.
